Brief Posting Description We are currently sourcing a Field Vibration Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX. This position will report directly to Regional Manager. Authorization to workpermanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

Detailed Description The successful candidate will be able to perform ALL the tasks noted below: · Performvibration analysis of rotating machinery by acquiring vibration data usingdifferent data acquisition hardware. · Evaluatemachinery condition by understanding vibration data and machine performance,operational and maintenance data and customer communication. · Troubleshooton compressors, pumps, turbines, gearboxes and other equipment for land basedand offshore facilities. · Balancingof rotating equipment.

  • Interactwith operations, maintenance, and inspection personnel to resolve machineryissues. · Supportmechanical integrity activities for rotating equipment and compliance targets. · Conductroutine equipment health audits on assigned rotating equipment and driveresolution on identified deficiencies. · Jointlyresponsible with “Rotating Equipment Engineers” for the development ofreliability improvement strategies for assigned rotating equipment.
  • Preparetimely and accurate technical reports to professional standards. · Implementand adhere to Wood's EH&S policy at all work sites. · Strongverbal communication skills, with the ability to speak directly to the issueand to adapt to work environment and customers’ communication style. · Abilityto establish strong working relationships with customers.
Strong customer focusand the desire to go the extra mile. Additionally the successful candidate should be able to perform and have a strong knowledge of: · Understanding of rotating machineryincluding reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, turbines, generators,pumps, gearbox, etc. · Knowledge of Data Physics Analyzers andSignalCalc software · Knowledge of Compressor and Engineperformance analysis using Recip-Trap Analyzer and RT Win software · Vibration Analyst Level II or Level III Job Requirements These are the minimum requirements: · BSME or BSMET · Proficient in standard windows softwareand ideally have some capability in AutoCad, CAESAR, SolidWorks, and ANSYS FEA. · Strong interest in vibration, compressorperformance, reliability, and design.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal andanalytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems. · Position requires up to 50% travel. Travelis mainly continental United States with the some international travel. Workcan include offshore facilities.
  • Current passport with eligibility totravel to our Calgary, Canada office for training as necessary for 8-12 week intervals for at least 6 months.
